As the new school year began, the pleas for school administrators to make more social media available to teachers also started.

We kicked it off with exhortation for Twitter to be unblocked. That request wasn't immediately granted, but when Wallwisher was opened up at my school, it seemed like a step in the right direction.

In a brief discussion with some teachers and principals, the same refrain continued to haunt me -- "Twitter is not safe." All the "buts" and "just a seconds" I offered fell on deaf ears.

So, as is our tendency here at Learn it in 5, instead of ranting or crying, I decided to do what we do best -- create a video.

And Yes, Mr. Principal, the results are in and. . . Twitter is safe.
