Visionary digital wiz, Steve Jobs, changed everything
It occurred to me today, as I reached for my Smartphone, that if not for Steve Jobs, I probably would have been using something antiquated. Later, when I opened my iPad, the same thought rushed back.
I've always admired Steve Jobs, who lost his battle with cancer yesterday. He was not only an inspiration for me to explore new technology in my classroom, he has influenced my presentation style. Once, I even argued with a principal that I could be just as professional in jeans as I could be in slacks, using Jobs as my example.
For years, I've read about Jobs, watched his presentations, enjoyed his interviews and used his devices. I have been captivated by his brilliance.
I never met Steve Jobs, but, as silly as it might sound, today I feel like I lost a friend.
