July has been a wonderful month for Learn it in 5, and in addition to reviewing the month's activity, including sharing lots of great resources, we want to thank our fans and subscribers.
Wow, 50,000 page views
In July, Learn it in 5 stripped off its baby shoes and began to sprint. Over 20,000 unique visitors provided nearly 54,000 page views -- a remarkable 300 percent increase over our June launch. This is truly astonishing, if we do say so ourselves. This amazing traffic, though, cannot be attributed only to the powerful how-to videos and blog posts. Learn it in 5 owes so much to a super PLN that has provided many plugs over a two-month period. We are truly grateful to all of you.
Popular Web 2.0 how-to videos
A list of popular how-to videos on many Web 2.0 applications was topped by our how-to use the Twitter-like application Edmodo. In a Learn it in 5 poll, Twitter followers said they were most interested in learning about Edmodo, so we responded, and this was July's most viewed how-to video page.
In addition to Edmodo, we provided powerful how-to videos on:
Glogster -- the web-based poster application
Skype -- the Internet webcam telephone
Diigo -- the Interned bookmarking tool that lets you take bookmarks anywhere
Automotivator -- the online poster program
Edchat -- the Twitter stream for teachers
Building a social network -- hosted by Epic Fu
Popular blog posts
Digital Classroom Strategies (The Learnitin5 Blog) is typically filled with posts on Web 2.0 applications and integrating them into the classroom. Sometimes, we aren't afraid to wax philosophical and take on other education topics, like July's top post, Can you get your students to play the piano? Here's a list of other popular blog posts from July.
