Facts about the Great Depression
Jumping off point: During the Great Depression, the suicide rate in America jumped 30 percent and 13 million people were unemployed. The stock market crash crushed the economy. A staggering amount of Americans were homeless and starving. Ironically, it took a world war to pull us out of one of the worst times in our history.
