How-to video: Using EmbedPlus to edit and annotate YouTube videos

Brief synopsis: Teachers often find excellent video on YouTube, but due to unsightly comments and related videos, sometimes good content must be avoided. EmbedPlus eliminates this problem by giving teachers the power to show only the content they want.

Benefits: With EmbedPlus, teachers can skip scenes, delivering only what they want students to see. Titles, scene labels and captions can be added. EmbedPlus has a slow motion feature. There is a movable zoom feature that allows teachers or students to magnify portions of videos. Easily set the height and width of any YouTube video. No registration is required with EmbedPlus; simply click Get Started, add your YouTube URL and use the EmbedPlus toolbar to edit your video. EmbedPlus also offers a dictionary application for word pronunciation and vocabulary context, using video.

Drawbacks: Since EmbedPlus is not a video hosting site, the videos you play will still be played through YouTube, meaning they may still be blocked by school district firewalls that don't allow YouTube.
