Students, take out your mobile and let's start texting
Most teachers think text messaging is a huge class disruption, and they snatch up the mobile devices as soon as they see them.
The web-based group text messaging service, Celly, is changing this.
Celly allows educators to create a classroom "cell," and students can easily join the cell by texting its name to Celly's number. The teacher then approves or declines the student, based on parameters the teacher creates, when first building the cell.
From that point, there are limitless options for teaching and learning with text messaging in a controlled, secure classroom environment.
