As I watched the video below, it hit me that this 1:1 overseas initiative is nearly three years old. This is a huge leap forward for third-world nations, taking part in the 1:1 initiative.
Still, in my Ohio school district, complete with Race to the Top bucks and sacks full of federal technology dollars, we teachers scrap and claw daily for a few computers, so we can type research papers.
In a time when test scores are king, it makes me wonder if American schools are passing or failing.
